Apple, New Services, and Dad

Today was a big day for Apple computer! Every year at the MacWorld Conference and Expo in San Francisco they reveal some amazing new techno-gadgetry over which every Apple enthusiast drools, slobbers and repeatedly breaks the 10th commandment. (That's the "Thou Shalt Not Covet" one...) :-)

You can read all about that one on my regular blog at GregsHead.net.

Since yesterday we have made many changes to our financial accounts. We took back our cable box, and downgraded to basic cable (first 19 channels), and we are in the process of downgrading our cell phone to a pay-as-you-go sorta thing. We also switched our land line from MCI to Vonage (the digital phone thing) and I cancelled our basic merchant account and began using another service to process credit card orders at our gigs.

All in all, we will save over $140/mo. On stuff we don't need anymore. That's really, really good.

Also in the news today, my Dad is once again under the knife. He messed himself up really badly in November (falling off a roof, while attached to a ladder) and has been recovering since then with pins in his foot. Today, they removed those. We should hear from Mom in a little bit with an update.

Much going on, but now I must get back to work!!
